Taster

Nose: Fruity. Sour fruit. Cranberries, Granny Smith apples. Typical of rye. Cedar, parma violet. Hint of vetiver. Oak is speaking loud.

Palate: Quite sharp. A sweet touch then oak speaks volumes, enhanced by the alcohol bite.

Finish: Soothing slowly. Sweet liquorice, sultanas, a hint of date.

Comment: A muscular character. A dash of water tames it.

Score: 8

Taster

Nose: Sourdough and rye bread, intense humidor note and fresh tobacco leaf. Stewing fruits, blackberry compote.

Palate: Sweet dark fruit jam then a massive oak spice explosion. Grippy and spicy, then it mellows back to blackberry and apple crumble.

Finish: Spices hold sway then vanish leaving powdery cinnamon notes.

Comment: A belter, literally the palate grabs and smacks your tastebuds about.
