Glenfiddich

Aged 21 Years, Gran Reserva

ABV 40%

Delivers more than expected. Seems a bit bland at start but it displays an attractive array of aromas and flavours on time. The rum influence is under control.

Taster

Nose: Mature. Malty with dark chocolate-covered strawberries, some prune. With water becomes musky with hints of cedar and a gentle relaxed sweetness held in check by quite firm oak.

Palate: Softer than the nose suggests and significantly sweeter. Layers of fruits, cocoa, syrup, demerara sugar, coffee.

Finish: Cigar-like then softens and sweetens.

Comment: Great balance. An exemplary finish.
