The nose is as dour as the palate is vibrant and full of life. Very strange.

Nose: Oaky. Damp cider cellar. Moss, wet walnut. Coffee must. Wood is overwhelming. Shines a little with water. Orange curd.
Palate: Crisp, much brighter than the nose. There's life here. Cooked plums. A rich spicy character which teases the tongue without burning.
Finish: Dry,spicy,malty.
Comment: The nose is as dour as the palate is vibrant and full of life. Very strange.

Taster
Nose: Concentrated with big, masculine, musky notes. Darjeeling tea, resin and perfumed wood. In time a heathery smokiness, burning tarry wood, hint of tamarind and a little firework.
Palate: Big,drying and smoky. Sesame oil. The sulphury note comes through with\rwater,so I'd go for it neat.
Finish: Long and spicy.
Comment: An intense flavour package.
Score: 8
