Taster

Nose: Autumnal with lots of chanterelle/truffle, violet and rancio. The deep decayed concentration drifts into soy, and dense fruits. Fungal and funky with a feral foxy touch. [that's enough alliteration: Ed] Mature.\r

Palate: Dense and fruity concentrated with mulberry jam. The buzz of alcohol\renhances the mystery. A big, rich bruiser that's rooted in the earth.

Finish: Big fat raisin. Sweet.

Comment: Another often dismissed distillery comes out swinging.

Score: 7.2

Taster

Nose: Oaky. Sap, freshly sawed wood. New leather. Developing on praline and\rtoffee. With water, opens on outdoors fragrances. Moss, touch of vetiver.

Palate: Dry. Wood immediately takes the lead and displays astringent notes\rinterlaced with liquorice.

Finish: Very dry. Burning

Comment: One could expect more smoothness and refined character from a 17 Years\rOld. The bitterness is quite invading but not inviting.
