ABV 50%
This is lovely. Gently complex and smooth. I’d love this in a Manhattan.

Nose: Toasted notes of vanilla rice pudding. A floral hint of wildflowers, followed by sticky toffee pudding with chewy chunks of dates and herbal dryness.
Palate: Rich and delicate sticky toffee pudding, cut through by orange zest and melted milk chocolate. Clove and cinnamon spice, followed by crème brûleé sweetness, madeira cake and dark red berry jam.
Finish: Smooth, medium length, giving madeira cake and clove spice.
Comment: This is lovely. Gently complex and smooth. I’d love this in a Manhattan.

Taster
Nose: Freshly baked cornbread, toffee sauce, All Bran and ginger cake with plenty of cinnamon. Orange oils and Virginia tobacco, new leather and a whiff of Ceylon tea. Delicate sage and rose water with water.
Palate: Candied orange and ginger segments with cinnamon. Glace cherry and fondant icing. A subtle burned sugar base note is supplemented by that delicate rose note.
Finish: Medium-short in length, fades to green apple and lingering cinnamon.
Comment: A solid daily sipper I’d like on my shelf. Takes water well.
Score: 8.5
