Nose
Gamey upfront, roast venison and the fattiness. Dried beef. Spent match sulphuriness, a dark sugar sweetness. A distant bonfire, fresh turned soil earthiness. A melon fruitness too.
Palate
Hello peat there you are, heavy smoke hits then gives way to pears and apples, all wrapped in dark honey and paprika spices.
Finish
Long, waves of smoke and sweet cherry blossom, drying onto spices and game.
Comment
Hipflask, spade, onion sets, biltong and burning off-cuts in the evening light. Blissful.
