Nose
Milk chocolate and damson plums, a touch of hickory and a dollop of black treacle. Coffee liqueur and black bean sauce. Black cherry jam and cedarwood blocks. There’s a bag of cinder toffee too.
Palate
Well integrated and brings the party from the nose. Almond and more plums with some blackcurrant and a glug of kirsch. Chocolate shortcrust pastry. Slightly earthy.
Finish
Medium length, that kirsch note lingers.
Comment
One for the lovers of Black Forest gateau.
