Tasting Notes

Taster

Nose: A whole lot of heat at first, followed by a sweet solvent note, like strawberry bubblegum and opening up a can of paint. An old-school mac raincoat, then fluffy.

Palate: It’s quite gentle initially, considering the ABV. The strawberry sweetness has become more intense, with the addition of herbal tarragon softness. There’s tonnes of fresh orchard fruit.

Finish: The finish is medium. A slightly green note lingers.

Comment: I would certainly enjoy sipping this over ice on a cold evening.

Score: 8.6

Taster

Nose: Spirit driven and intensely fruity, with green apple (Granny Smith), kiwi and strawberry. Then comes sourdough vanilla cake and crème patissiere with subtle cardamom and dusty hayloft.

Palate: Oodles of fresh peach, kiwi, white grape and more fresh apple juice up front (the from-concentrate kind). Blossom honey water and lemon juice.

Finish: Medium-short and gently drying. Takes water but doesn’t evolve.

Comment: Balanced and nicely spirit forward.
