Nose
Rich but still bright with notes of fresh orange, dried cherries, a bit of floor polish, and then some fresh plums.
Palate
More drying on the palate with lots of the citrusy character rolling around the sides of the tongue: clementine and grapefruit pith. Then cranberries, Madagascan cacao, and a touch of liquorice.
Finish
Lots of dried baking spice — cinnamon and nutmeg — alongside some oak tannin.
Comment
A balanced dram that, while rich, has some lovely brighter notes.
