Pungent and vibrant but lacks the beautiful Clynelish style.
12 Years Old, Cask 3280
Nose: Shellfish, caramelised pecan, overripe medlar. Chocolate fudge. Spirity, biting. A breath of smoke.
Palate: Harsh at the start, calming down when tamed with a good dash of water, but still on the fiery side.
Finish: Hot, spicy and sappy.
Comment: Pungent and vibrant but lacks the beautiful Clynelish style.
Nose: Intense with lovely waxy weight. Honey and sea breezes with lightly phenolic notes behind.
Palate: Luscious, silky fruits: honey/beeswax, coconut. Well-balanced with the high alcohol giving it a good bite.
Comment: All the classic Clynelish characteristics with added youthful intensity. Already complex.
