Nose

Lots of wonderfully familiar sooty island notes immediately burst from the glass: there’s a salinity and lemon-peel note too.

Palate

Fresh and clean — like a salty wave rushing across the palate. A lovely fruitiness pokes its head out in the form of honeydew melons and ripe pears. The sooty smoke is more refined than initially expected from the nose.

Finish

Medium length with a gentle smoky layer still kicking about after a while.
