Nose
A bit of a wild whisky to start: TCP, burnt citrus peel, some dried black limes, and black cardamom. A touch of farmyard funk: horse stables and wet hay, with black pepper and tar.
Palate
Fresh and bold — white mints, some glue, Dib Dab sweets, white pepper, and green apples. An oiliness here, and something akin to mezcal.
Finish
Finish: Long, smoky, and peppery.
Comment
A bright, fresh, peated Islay whisky — great if your palate swings towards these styles.
