Nose
A delicate floral note to begin — spring flowers in a meadow, alongside some hay and barley water.
Palate
Much zestier on the palate with some dark, sooty smoke emerging. There’s pineapple cubes, orange peel, a touch of honeydew melon, and cotton candy. With water, smoke softens and becomes slightly more bitter.
Finish
Long and lingering — this one really sticks around whether with or without water.
Comment
Surprisingly delightful at full strength and almost more intense with water — a bold whisky with lots going on.
