A pleasant dram, definitely on the sweet side. The nose is more appealing than the palate.

Taster

Nose: Fragrant. Cereal and fruity. Cooked apples and pears. A biscuity note. Appetising. With water, a floral touch.

Palate: Smooth. Almost syrupy. Sweet. Apple jelly. Slightly watery at mid palate.

Finish: Dry with a liquorice root note.

Comment: A pleasant dram, definitely on the sweet side. The nose is more appealing than the palate.

Taster

Nose: Bags of sweetness here akin to apple pie – a mix of malty pastry and flowery apples.

Palate: The sweetness is complemented with a spiced note. The fruity note is still here too.

Finish: Drying and morish.

Comment: A decent example of a grain whisky. One to watch.
