Nose
Takes a moment in the glass but then some cherry pie, peppermint candy canes, vanilla bean ice cream, and orange blossom.
Palate
Juicy and robust: fresh OJ, and orange blossom again in a more honeyed form. Vanilla sugar, pain au raisin, touch of spice. A little wood tannin and slight bitterness gives good structure.
Finish
Lengthy — really saturates the palate. A little dash of chewy oak.
Comment
A well-formed, robust whisky with great balance.
