Nose: A spice box with lots of cumin and coriander seed powder, curry leaf, paprika, nutmeg, and star anise. Under this, muscovado sugar and black bean sauce. With time, fruits emerge: fresh peach, green banana, red apple, and even raspberry yoghurt.
Palate: Medium, with some lemon sherbet zing. Water sweetens things up nicely and tames the heat, pushing peach, clementine, lemon, and raspberry to the fore,
Finish: Spicy fruit salad with chilli flakes.
Comment: Some very nice flavours here but the heat distracts me.

Taster
Nose: Syrupy peach compote and Refresher sweets. Green apple core and fresh almond croissant. Candied lemon and orange peel. A hint of crème anglaise. Raw pâte sablée pastry. Fresh raspberry.
Palate: Medium-full. Raisins and dried figs. More almond and pastry notes. Strong mocha coffee, raspberry, and strawberry jam. A little ground cinnamon, vanilla sugar, and Madeleines.
Finish: Medium-long. Hints of baked apple and pear with vanilla custard.
Comment: Lovely flavours, and not too overpowered by the ABV.
Score: 7.9
