Nose

Soft caramel and a little bit of spun sugar kicks things off, before pear drops and a bit of solvent.

Palate

Gently sweet, with some pastry notes in there: pain aux raisins and a nuttiness akin to almond patisserie. There’s a touch of cinnamon spice and wet cardboard as the palate progresses.

Finish

Fairly short, with lingering spice and oakiness.

A fairly classic single grain whisky that is pleasant if lacking a bit of oomph.
