Nose
To start it’s very soft, with a slight crayon note. Lots of orchard fruit here: apples and soft pears. But also something malty and cake-like.
Palate
Very good texture to begin. Notes of vanilla custard, baked flan, apple cake with a lot of spice: nutmeg and cinnamon. Quite hot.
Finish
A nuttiness to finish alongside a medium length finish with just a hint of bitterness.
Comment
An interesting whisky, pleasant if not hugely complex.
