Nose
Wood ashes and charcoal smoke. A little eraser and pencil lead. Smoked vanilla and blackened crème brûlée top. Underneath, there’s custard, dried apricot, and stewed plum notes.
Palate
Medium. Complex smoked cherry, toffee, poached pear in brandy, and almond biscotti notes. A little nougat. Physalis and coffee cream chocolates, too.
Finish
Medium-long, on coffee and wood smoke.
Comment
Fabulously complex and well rounded. Love it.
