Nose
Olive oil and hints of coriander seed and turmeric. Apples baked, unpeeled, with cinnamon and brown sugar. Grainy malt loaf. Pumpkin and poppy seeds. Faint coffee-chocolate truffle.
Palate
Light-medium. Fresh blackcurrants, ripe fig, and raspberry jam. Chocolate digestive biscuits dipped in black coffee. Strong apple cordial. The grainy, seedy qualities of the nose remain, like multigrain rye crackers.
Finish
Medium-short, on the multigrain crackers and quince jelly.
Comment
Nicely balanced.
