Nose
Cinder toffee and pear liqueur, wafts of subtle wood smoke are joined by poached apple flan with nutmeg and custard. A touch of fondant candy sweetness too.
Palate
Medium-full bodied. Heaps of orchard fruits are joined by subtle iodine and menthol, anise and blueberry. A bittersweet vegetal note of green bell pepper brings up the rear.
Finish
Medium-long, caramel notes fade leaving green elements.
Comment
A solid sipper for the days when a touch of smoke is called for.
