Taster

Nose: Concentrated and mature. Oak, bounty bar, grilled nut, treacle. Very spicy and complex. Some tablet sweetness and touch of Jaffa Cakes. Smoke.

Palate: Softer than the nose. Silky and slightly waxy feel with cooked plummy fruit/plum skin. Light oaky grip. Well balanced.

Finish: Spicy, nutmeg.

Comment: A rich, ripe and well-balanced dram.

Score: 8.3

Taster

Nose: Very expressive. Classic whisky aromas. A greenwood bonfire. Yorkshire parkin. Ginger biscuits.

Palate: Rounded, tangerines.

Finish: Lemon juice.

Comment: The nose suggests a winter warmer, but the palate performs as a summer refresher.
