Tasting Notes

Nose

Big, complex mix of saffron, cake mix, cinnamon and a touch of spruce. Sweet lifted and elegant. Mellows into stewed orchard fruit with a firm structure underneath. A subtle smokiness with water. Crackling winter fires.

Palate

Ripeness and softness with lots of peachiness. Some chocolate. A stately progression of Assam tea, dried flower, bitter orange, oak, cedar.

Finish

Long and elegant.

Comment

Superb balance and complexity.
