Taster

Nose: Big, complex mix of saffron, cake mix, cinnamon and a touch of spruce. Sweet lifted and elegant. Mellows into stewed orchard fruit with a firm structure underneath. A subtle smokiness with water. Crackling winter fires.

Palate: Ripeness and softness with lots of peachiness. Some chocolate. A stately progression of Assam tea, dried flower, bitter orange, oak, cedar.

Finish: Long and elegant.

Comment: Superb balance and complexity.

Taster

Nose: Deep, rich, generous. A superb interlacing of resinous notes with dried fruit and honey. Opens on richer aromas of candied chestnut, citrus peel and nutmeg.

Palate: Crisp, dry with a luscious wild silk feel. Elegant oak with spices and dried fruit.

Finish: Everlasting, dry with a nutty touch.

Comment: That single malt has aged without showing a wrinkle. Superb. A classic Speysider.
