Tasting Notes

Martine Nouet

Taster

Nose: Grassy, honeyed. Lemon balm, touch of thyme. Develops on sour fruity notes. Gooseberry, redcurrants. Then a wave of vanilla floods the sour edge. Multilayered aromatic display.

Palate: Light, silky. Sweet at first with Demerara sugar and rum notes. Followed by a drier spiciness.

Finish: Lingering, dry but with a sweet exotic fruit aftertaste.

Comment: A rum finish? An interesting and complex dram with enough dryness to balance the sweet Demerara profile.

Taster

Nose: Aromatic almost herbal notes. An old fashioned apothecary shop. Sharp green fruits, a citrus edge and some oak comes through.

Palate: Very delicate at first but then gets bolder with spiced notes and a sweet sugary edge.

Finish: Long and drying.

Comment: A good example of this distillery. Well put together.
