Taster

Nose: Rounded and ripe, but with underlying intensity. Old paper and stewing citrus fruits. Like a late summer’s day.

Palate: Soft, honeyed and gentle. Good flavour, white chocolate, peach, chestnut and marmalade. Touch of vanilla. Complex and layered.

Finish: Fresh ripe cherries.

Comment: Great balance between distillery character and oak. Unsung hero No3.

Taster

Nose: Strong, slightly spirity at first. Nutty, fresh hazelnuts. Opens on toffee and vanilla. Amarena cherries. With water, more fruit.

Palate: Very supple and smooth. When you were expecting the alcohol bite, you find a caressing feel. Oak is present but well integrated. Chestnut purée.

Finish: Unexpectedly spicy. Water releases licorice and sweet raisins.

Comment: Complex, structured, rich. A slight alcohol bite on the nose but the palate makes you forget it.
