Taster

Nose: Figs, almond, pleasantly light and floral, a lot of tropical fruit, an incredibly enticing beginning to the experience. A surprising appearance of cedar at the end.

Palate: Fresh pears, strawberry and cream. \nA touch of elderflower rounded by liquorice \nand treacle, surprised by its smoothness.

Finish: Pleasant, soothing with a robust lingering finish, although unidimensional.

Comment: Enjoyable, a great sipper as \na beginning to the evening dram.

Score: 7.7

Taster

Nose: A little austere to begin with, brittle barley and hints of coffeed tannins and soft vanilla. In time it shows maturity with dried white grape, pineapple, apricot, green apple and lovely, dusty oak character.

Palate: Opens with oily vanilla and almond followed by straw and barley. Pleasantly mature and deep with lightly oxidised, sweetish, honey coated apricot fruit and hints of coffee.

Finish: Medium length with a gentle mineral and citrus finish with lingering oily barley and oak.

Comment: Quite a dense and concentrated whisky, showing some lovely aged character.
