Tasting Notes

Nose

Light and smoky with a waxy undertow. Tennis balls. Seems young, but in time (and it benefits from breathing space) there’s clotted cream, wet chamois, ripe fruits, then grassiness.

Palate

Clean with damp moss, fresh herbs. Silky before a peppery grip kicks in. When the smoke appears it changes totally becoming oilier and more overtly briny.

Finish

Long and balanced. Bandages, ash.

Comment

An intriguing and pretty classy dram.
