Nose
Toffee apples and wood varnish to begin — it almost smells thick. There’s some nutty chocolate — Fererro Rocher perhaps — and baked oranges.
Palate
That vibrant citrus note pulls through on the palate, followed by honey, chilli spice, nutmeg and, caramel. It’s juicy, while still having a real weightiness there.
Finish
Lots of heat with a lingering touch of tinned pineapples.
Comment
A bold, bright whisky with a bit more heat than one might expect, but a nice texture rounds things out well.
