Nose
A wonderfully warming start on the nose, with fresh baked goods, apricot, marshmallows, and an oiliness. There was a note of crayon and raw nuts as well.
Palate
Big sherry arrival to start: sultanas, muscovado, then Crêpes Suzette, alongside some golden syrup. Some water definitely helps with heat but the same flavours remain.
Finish
Long and lengthy with nice spice.
Comment
A really good example of a sherry-matured whisky in good oak.
