Nose
Malty. Toffee. Orange custard, A slight rancid note. Sweet jam. Marmalade. This rancid butter note stays in the back. Sherried.
Palate
Smooth at first then getting dry and crisp. Oak speaks up, softened by toffee and dried fruit. A light astringency on time.
Finish
Dry, crisp and astringent.
Comment
The nose is sweeter than the palate. Water takes away some of the astringency but leaves a bitter taste.
