Nose

Vanilla buttercream on a lemon sponge cake. Elderflower cordial. Light blossom honey and cream cheese. Shortbread, and apple slices cooked in foaming butter.

Palate

Light-medium bodied. Blossom honey on white toast. Tinned pears in syrup with fluffy Chantilly cream. More syrupy elderflower cordial.

Finish

Medium, on thin, crisp butter biscuits and chamomile tea.

Comment

An undemanding, balanced blend that would make a cracking springtime highball.
