A warm character, just a little too assertive when it comes to oak but so uplifting.

Tasting Notes

Taster

Nose: Nutty, fresh and lively. A delicate touch of wild rose pops up before being submerged by liquorice and vanilla toffee. Quite tickling. Water releases more sweet toffee notes.

Palate: Smoother than expected at first then bursting out. Tangy mouthfeel. Not unpleasant though. Barley sugar. Gripping oak in the end.

Finish: Dry, oaky. Liquorice and nuts.

Comment: A warm character, just a little too assertive when it comes to oak but so uplifting.

Score: 8

Taster

Nose: Soft and warming. Ripe apples. Some pear notes. Hints at brownies with mango tartness balancing.

Palate: Sharp with slightly earthy background. Late solid cereals.

Finish: Firm, becomes creamy, with some hints of acetone and phenol(?).

Comment: Curious balance of firm earthiness and acidity.
