Tasting Notes

Taster

Nose: A rich and jammy nose with a hint of spice and Riveta. Pretty direct, with some additional hints of old leather and runny honey.

Palate: Very rich on the palate with heavy rye bread giving the leading flavours. Some black cherry hidden in the background which comes to the front with a splash of water. A hint of iodine.

Finish: The iodine comes right to the front of the finish, pushing through and powering over the winning line, followed by some sea salt, leaving the black cherry for dead.

Comment: A powerful and rewarding drop.

Score: 8.3

Taster

Nose: Ripe banana, slightly fermented strawberries, vanilla pipe tobacco and fruit sherbet. Lively and exceptionally fruity.

Palate: The fruit continues to the palate, with rhubarb fool, fresh vanilla pods, a creamy strawberry note and an almost Californian Rosé wine note.

Finish: Dry and malty, with a touch of pepperiness too.

Comment: A very solid and vibrant American whiskey. Complex, creamy and very drinkable.
