Nose: Cold vanilla custard, peach and tangerine, like trifle with sponge fingers. Pencil eraser, maybe playdough, nutmeg and soft floral heather.
Palate: Warming ginger spice, a creamy mug of Horlicks, peaches and cream, cardboard and fennel. This is really nicely warming.
Finish: Peppery heat with more of that Horlicks maltiness.
Comment: It’s hot for the ABV, but with many promising elements.
Score: 7.4
Taster
Nose: Coconut cream, vanilla essence, cut grass, and subtle florals – violets, specifically. Delicate sweet cereals and green apple.
Palate: Medium bodied. Sweet vanilla ice cream, brioche and butter icing. A touch of nutmeg and a little blueberry.
Finish: As the sweet vanillas fade, delicate green apple and fresh blueberry remains.
Comment: A pleasant and easy-going drop.
Score: 7.3
