Nose: Pencil shavings, cinnamon bubblegum, spun sugar, then into orange blossom, rose water and orange rind. Dusty bookshelves and a little incense. Creamy black cherry yoghurt with milky coffee.
Palate: Creamy with a spike of cherries in brandy. Almost like liquid tiramisu. Plenty of sweetness, vanilla, brown sugar and toffee apples.
Finish: Hot, spicy and short. The heat lingers with a touch of violets.
Comment: Packs a decent punch at this ABV and the finish is quite something.

Taster
Nose: An entire bowl of butterscotch Angel Delight, followed quickly by banana skin, coriander and traces of burnt cardboard, lighter fuel, pistachio ice cream and playdough.
Palate: Palate starts off bitter with toasted pistachios, flamed grapefruit zest and dark chocolate covered coffee beans. A salty sweetness develops with cookie dough, stewed rhubarb and barbequed bananas.
Finish: Short finish with a dry and chalky texture.
Comment: Bittersweet… one for the negroni and coffee lovers.
Score: 8.6
