Tasting Notes

Taster

Nose: Stewed prunes and fresh figs with goats cheese and Parma ham, sweet meets savoury. Spices quietly lurking in the background.

Palate: Those figs are back straight off but then it moves more to red apples and toffee. Liquorice and sherbet dip dabs.

Finish: Here come the spices… cinnamon, cardamon and roast chilli roll in and slowly dry leaving a tingly sensation there.

Comment: A full-on outdoor dram that will warm the cockles, whether you are on the hills or hanging out in the potting shed.

Score: 7.9

Taster

Nose: Creamy custard and apple strudel, cinnamon sugar and white port. White grape juice and elderflower, gentle oak spice.

Palate: Delicate and fruity, apple boiled sweets and conference pear. Orange zest and candied ginger, gentle oak spice. Then the merest hint of a medicinal character.

Finish: Apple strudel and very gentle tannin.

Comment: Fresh and fruit led.
