Nose: Rich with some vanilla, soft fruits, dry grass and a slight dry/metallic note.
Palate: Crisp in the mouth to start, with an attractively soft mid-palate. Slightly hard on the sides of the tongue but softens in time.
Finish: Tingling and a little short.
Comment: Attractive, quite light.

Taster
Nose: Honeyish and spicy.
Palate: Smooth. Nutty. Firm.
Finish: Faintly coffeeish. Smoky. With a slight, appetising, bitterness.
Comment: I have long enjoyed this whisky. It's own subtle character shines through, despite the influence of the wood being so obvious.
Score: 7.8
