Tasting Notes

Taster

Nose: Soft and gentle smoke here. Latakia tobacco and the waft of an open humidor. Something nice and jammy too.

Palate: That gentle smoke comes through with a smoked almond nuttiness as well. There is a marine, saline note with salt-baked cod and freshly baked sourdough. An intense orange citrus note, the moment when you spritz orange zest.

Finish: All the elements combine together, layered and intense.

Comment: A complex whisky that takes you on a ride from saline to sweetness, via smoke.

Taster

Nose: Baked pears, freshly washed linen, gorse flowers and tree bark create soft and earthy aromas with undertones of salted peanuts, black pudding and cement.

Palate: Bursting with waves of bonfire smoke, hot leather and lime juice with the palate gradually sweeting with cherry bakewell tarts, fig rolls and heather honey.

Finish: Complex with a chalky texture mixed with a sweet oiliness.

Comment: A ball buster layered with smoke, fruits and salty sweetness.
