Nose: Direct and phenolic. Frying bacon fat, cabbage, silage, fish boxes, damp coal bunker. Some lifted citric notes, camomile. Smoke.
Palate: Young with real power and attack. The smoke appears from half way but is balanced by a sweet centre. Oily, rich, even salty (oops!).
Finish: Smoky bacon, camomile, clove.
Comment: A young cracker. Don't pass this up.
Score: 8.5
