ABV 55%
A young, in-your-face style that still has some complexity. Really delivers on the palate.

Nose: Perfumed and marine: hot seashells, medicinal, pancetta. Water (and it can take a fair bit) brings out smoke, fennel seed/anise, nut, wet grass, pepper.
Palate: Sweet with gingery spices. The smoke builds and builds on top of the oily texture.
Finish: Long, smouldering.
Comment: A young, in-your-face style that still has some complexity. Really delivers on the palate.
Score: 7.8
Taster
Nose: Intensely aromatic. Very light, sweetish, smokiness. Coconut. Grapefruit.
Palate: A lively interplay of flavours, with both malty sweetness and dryness and peppery dryness. Perfumy, with suggestions of thyme.
Finish: The flavours come together in a rousing finale, with the alcohol providing a back-beat.
Comment: The most fruity, fresh, peppery and lively of the three expressions. I loved all three. Scoring was a tough call.
Score: 8.3
