Good, but it could be any heavily sherried malt. Lacks an individual personality.

Tasting Notes

Taster

Nose: Lots of Oloroso notes: rubber, walnut, dried fruits.

Palate: Good weight, nutty, soft, silky and fruity with some turfy smoke.

Finish: Sweet and sherried.

Comment: Good, but it could be any heavily sherried malt. Lacks an individual personality.

Score: 7

Martine Nouet

Taster

Nose: Sherry, tobacco leaf. Huge notes of sweet Oloroso. Shoe polish. Cloved orange, smoky wood.

Palate: Smoothness meeting sweetness. Christmas cake flavours, dark chocolate.

Finish: Sensuously lingering, laced with spices. Smoky aftertaste.

Comment: Pure mastered (and mastering) Oloroso style. But where is the spirit contribution?
