Tasting Notes

Nose

Canvas, wood smoke. Like being on Scout camp. Wet grass, smoky bacon. Water softens it.

Palate

Intense dry smoke hits immediately, then the smoked meat and singed heather.

Finish

Dry and long.

Comment

A very good, well-balanced Caol Ila, but not enough happening to make it complex. Ideal for beginners.
