For me this has been bottled too early and before the sulphuriness of youth has been fully matured out.

Tasting Notes

Dave Broom

Taster

Nose: Rubbery, firm with a strange mealy dustiness. Sulphur obscuring other character.

Palate: Light smoke with a deep and heavy midpalate. A powerful flavour though with water that youthful sulphury note comes back.

Finish: Earthy and deep.

Comment: For me this has been bottled too early and before the sulphuriness of youth has been fully matured out.

Taster

Nose: Green plums, roasted cheese, a slightly prickly, chemically note. With water there is a doughy note, with a bit of bran husk like a bran scone. Plum or cherry sauce.

Palate: Quite broad on the palate, a youthful maltiness and some apple.

Finish: Light, sweet breadiness.

Comment: Relatively uneventful.
