Nose

Christmas cake mix. All spice. There is also evidence of phenols, though not peat or smoke, more like oil paints or floor polish.

Palate

Some burnt buns, a rich underlying raisin toffee sweetness and a grassy peat.

Finish

Light rubberiness and some more of that peat, although in subtle quantities.

Comment

A big spirit tempered by a characterful cask. Very enjoyable.
