Palate: Smooth, sweet. The same earthy/woody note as on the nose. Well balanced with the nose. Exotic fruit and Demerara sugar. Prunes.

Finish: Lingering. Soothing on liquorice. Keeping the woody character.

Taster

Nose: A mildly damp leaf quality after the first hit of wood. A slight whiff of coffee and some exotic spices.

Palate: Sweet oak dominates, then a heavy burnt sugar note comes through. Spices develop with some dark fruit.

Finish: Keeps going with the sweet oak.

Comment: A very mellow dram, great for this time of year.
