Nose

Milky porridge, bay leaf, peppery watercress, and banana bread. Orange segments in a sherry trifle. Oily pumpkin seed. Espresso chocolate truffle.

Palate

Full bodied, mouthcoating. Creamy porridge dusted with cinnamon, white toast with orange marmalade, and apple compote. A hint of dried apricot. Buttery caramel and gentle elderflower. Milk chocolate with hazelnut praline and wafer.

Finish

Long, but gentle. On tart lemon curd and wholegrain cracker.

Comment

The spirit led the way, and I’m glad of that because it was delicious.
