ABV 59.3%
Not as big and bruising as the ABV might suggest. Water brings out this delicate spiced and sweet side.

Nose: Grainy initially. Honey and nut corn flakes. Nail polish remover and a little damp wool. Sweetness comes from tangerine, oat cream and maple syrup. A touch of hay barn and farmyard.
Palate: Surprisingly light given the ABV. Sweetness at first, apples and brown sugar, then plenty of oak grip. Walnut whips.
Finish: Short and swift, but leaves some of that walnut whip hanging about. Chilli bite too.
Comment: Not as big and bruising as the ABV might suggest. Water brings out this delicate spiced and sweet side.

Taster
Nose: Flakes of coconut, barley sugars and chalky red apples creating luscious sweet tones followed by toasted sesame oil and raspberry sorbet.
Palate: Macerated raspberries and a sprinkling of sea salt. Just a sprinkling. Sweet spices begin to develop. Burnt cinnamon, nutmeg and freshly baked rye bread.
Finish: Fragrant spices bursting all over, but all rounded up with pistachio ice cream and just a hint of bitter clementine pith.
Comment: Tastebuds are in the middle of a whack-a-mole game.
Score: 8.4
