Taster
Nose: Smooth vanilla sponge cake, with a kick of cinnamon spice. Then it’s time for apricot yoghurt and some delightful toasty oak.
Palate: Much sweeter here, with mango chunks appearing, followed by more vanilla sponge with caramel chocolate buttons. Then there’s sage, hazelnut and more toasty notes.
Finish: A hot finish – the caramel lingers and spiced French toast stays with you.

Score: 8.2
Taster
Nose: Clementine segments, subtle lemon curd and a touch of tinned pineapple. Toasted sourdough bread with butter and heather honey. Crème brûlée and brown sugar on baked pears.
Palate: Plenty of stewed orchard fruits and berries, with Drumstick lolly (sweet milk and raspberry candy flavours). Glazed strawberry, blueberry and custard flan.
Finish: Medium. Ends on delicate blanched almond and sultana notes.
Comment: Reminiscent of a trip to a Sicilian pastry shop.
Score: 8.1
