Tasting Notes

Taster

Nose: Sweet with a dry undertow and some depth. Fruity, with orange concentrate, lemon icing/cupcakes and some dry maltiness. In time, a real creaminess.

Palate: Good weight, though slightly slick on the palate. Plenty of fruit balanced by a crisp nuttiness and a strange roasted quality: highly roasted coffee bean/bourbon biscuit.

Finish: Soft and long.

Comment: Of the two Cradle Mountains I have tasted, this is the better.

Taster

Nose: Slightly dry. Faint suggestion of peat. Perhaps it's just a grassy note.

Palate: Concentrated sweetness. Fruity. Lemony.

Finish: Spicy. Warming.

Comment: Plenty of flavours, but they need to be better combined and rounded.
