Nose

Instantly wonderful balance of old, sticky fruits and oak. Feels like a very solid maturation. Bit of honey, some waxy fruits, strawberries and cream.

Palate

Rounded, pleasing and I was surprised it was 46%. Balanced and elegant. Vanilla, wax, oak, bit of peppery spice and some lovely summery fruits (peaches, apples).\n

Finish

Just a hint of earthy bitterness on the back palate but a nice long continuation ofthe flavours.\n

Comment

Lovely whisky – lots to offer, and one to sit with for a while.
